Legal
Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you access or use the AptIQ practice platform.
Effective 16 July 2026
1. Welcome and acceptance
Welcome to AptIQ. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the AptIQ website, accounts, practice exams, tutorials, results, credits and related services (collectively, the “Service”). In these terms, “AptIQ”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to AptIQ, and “you” refers to the person accessing or using the Service.
By creating an account, purchasing credits or using the Service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you are under the age at which you can enter a binding agreement, your parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms on your behalf.
You must provide accurate and current account information, keep your credentials confidential and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account except to the extent it results from an act or omission by AptIQ.
Each account is personal to one candidate and must not be shared, transferred, sold or made available to another person. You must not create multiple accounts to obtain more than one new-account benefit, bypass limits or misuse a promotion. We may reject a registration or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service or enforce these terms.
3. AptIQ practice services
AptIQ provides online practice and preparation materials. Available modules, exams, question types, modes, scoring formats and tools may differ. Exam availability and credit requirements are displayed in the Service and may change as the library is updated.
Your access is delivered online. You are responsible for a compatible device, supported browser and reliable internet connection. AptIQ may save your answers and position during an attempt, but you should follow all on-screen submission and completion instructions.
4. Independent practice platform
AptIQ is an independent practice and preparation platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by any official testing body, university or exam provider. Practice content and results do not guarantee performance in an official examination.
AptIQ enrolment does not register you for an official examination, university admission or any other third-party service. You are responsible for checking official eligibility rules, registration dates, fees, examination requirements and admissions information with the relevant organisation.
5. Prices, payments and credits
Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) unless stated otherwise. You agree to pay the total amount displayed and approved at checkout. Payments are handled through the payment provider shown at checkout. You must use an authorised payment method and provide accurate billing information.
AptIQ is not currently registered for GST. Displayed prices are the total amount payable and no GST is charged or included. If AptIQ becomes registered for GST, pricing and receipt wording will be updated from the applicable effective date.
Purchased credits are added to your AptIQ account after payment is successfully verified. The credits required to access an exam are shown before an eligible attempt is started. Starting an exam may deduct the displayed credits from your balance in accordance with the on-screen confirmation.
Purchased credits do not expire while your AptIQ account remains open and available, unless a different condition was clearly disclosed for a specific promotional credit before it was granted. Unused credits remain subject to the account closure, suspension and refund provisions in these terms.
We may change pack prices, exam credit requirements and available offers prospectively. A change does not alter a completed purchase or retroactively reduce credits already added to your account. We may correct an obvious pricing or technical error before completing a transaction and will provide an appropriate remedy if a payment was processed incorrectly.
6. Free access, coupons and promotions
A new-account exam, coupon, bonus credit or other promotion is subject to the eligibility, availability, usage and expiry conditions displayed with that offer. Unless expressly stated otherwise, offers are personal, cannot be exchanged for cash, cannot be combined and may be used only once. We may refuse or reverse a promotional benefit obtained through duplicate accounts, automation, misrepresentation or other misuse.
7. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
If the Service fails to comply with an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy such as having the problem corrected, cancellation, a refund or compensation, depending on the circumstances and seriousness of the failure. Contact us through the AptIQ support page with your account details, transaction reference, a description of the problem and relevant evidence.
Once you start a practice exam or tutorial, the required credits are treated as consumed and that exam is not eligible for a change-of-mind refund, credit reversal or exchange. This applies whether or not you complete the attempt and includes situations where you no longer need the exam, select the wrong exam, change your preparation plans or are dissatisfied with your result.
Credit packs are purchased as a single product and cannot be partially refunded. Once any credits from a purchased pack have been used, the remaining unused credits from that pack are not eligible for a partial change-of-mind refund, exchange or conversion to cash. Credits from different purchases or promotions may be held in one combined account balance and are not separately redeemable for cash.
This started-exam rule does not limit any remedy you may be entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law, including where the Service has a major failure or does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee.
Except where required by law or expressly agreed by AptIQ, refunds are not provided merely because you changed your mind, did not use purchased credits, no longer intend to sit an examination, did not achieve a desired result, missed a third-party registration date or failed to apply a coupon before completing a purchase.
How to request a refund or remedy
Submit your request through the AptIQ support page and select “Refund or payment request”. Include the email address on your account, invoice number or PayPal transaction reference, purchase date, amount, reason for the request and any supporting evidence. Do not include payment-card details.
Requests for a discretionary change-of-mind refund should be submitted within 14 days after purchase and before any credits from the combined account balance are used. AptIQ will normally acknowledge a request within two business days and aims to provide an outcome within ten business days after receiving all reasonably required information.
The 14-day period applies only to AptIQ’s discretionary change-of-mind review. It does not limit the time available to exercise a right or seek a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or another law that cannot be excluded.
8. Availability and changes
We take reasonable steps to keep AptIQ available and secure. Planned maintenance, urgent updates, internet failures, provider outages and events outside our reasonable control may interrupt access. We will work to restore affected services within a reasonable period but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We may update the Service, correct errors, replace or withdraw practice content, and change the structure or presentation of active modules. Where a material change affects a paid service that has not yet been supplied, we will comply with applicable consumer-law obligations.
9. Acceptable use
You must use AptIQ lawfully, respectfully and only for your own personal preparation. You must not:
- share account access or allow another person to complete practice under your identity;
- copy, record, photograph, scrape, download, republish, sell or distribute questions, explanations, results or other protected content except as expressly permitted;
- use automated tools, bots or extraction methods to access the Service or build a content database;
- circumvent security, access controls, payment controls, credit requirements or usage limits;
- upload malicious code, interfere with platform operation or attempt unauthorised access to an account or system;
- use the Service or its content to provide commercial tutoring, train a competing system or create a competing product without written permission; or
- harass others, submit unlawful material or use support channels abusively.
10. Intellectual property and licence
AptIQ and its licensors own or license the Service and its content, including its software, design, text, graphics, questions, explanations and arrangement. These materials are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.
While your account is active and you comply with these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access available AptIQ content through the Service for your own non-commercial preparation. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
11. Tutorial feedback and automated features
Tutorial explanations, benchmarks, scoring and other feedback are educational aids. Where a supported written task uses automated feedback or a provisional fallback, this will be identified in the Service. Automated feedback may contain errors and should not be treated as an official score, professional advice or a prediction of an official examination outcome.
12. Third-party services and links
AptIQ may rely on or link to third-party services, including payment and email providers. Their separate terms and privacy policies may apply to your use of those services. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control, subject to any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using AptIQ at any time and may request account closure through the AptIQ support page. At the current first-stage closure level, AptIQ disables and archives the account rather than permanently deleting it. Login and new activity are blocked, active sessions are invalidated, and the account’s unused non-expiring credits, invoices, transaction history, attempts and legal records are retained.
You may ask AptIQ support to reactivate an archived account after reasonable identity and security checks. The retained credit balance will be restored with the account. Account closure does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Permanent deletion is not currently offered and records may remain subject to the retention requirements described in our Privacy Policy.
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have materially breached these terms, compromised platform security, infringed intellectual property, abused another person, committed fraud or exposed AptIQ or its users to harm. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue. Serious, repeated, fraudulent or security-related conduct may result in immediate action.
14. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, AptIQ does not warrant that using the Service will produce a particular score, admission outcome, ranking or other result. Practice questions and explanations are prepared for educational purposes and may not reproduce the content, difficulty, interface or scoring of an official examination.
We take reasonable care in preparing and maintaining the Service, but information may become incomplete or outdated as official examinations and admissions processes change. You should verify important requirements using official sources.
15. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability arising under consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, AptIQ is not liable for loss caused by your failure to follow official examination requirements, your device or internet connection, unauthorised sharing of your credentials, a third-party service outside our reasonable control, or use of the Service contrary to these terms. Any limitation applies only to the extent it is fair, reasonable and legally enforceable in the circumstances.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to AptIQ, applicable laws or reasonable business requirements. The effective date identifies the current version. If a change materially affects an existing paid entitlement, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and will not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. You and AptIQ submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of Western Australia. Nothing in this clause limits a right you have to bring a claim in another jurisdiction where that right cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Questions and complaints
We welcome feedback and aim to handle complaints fairly and promptly. For questions, billing disputes or complaints, use the AptIQ support page and provide enough information for us to identify your account, understand the issue and review relevant records. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable period.
